WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday

SALARY: $38,220 to $41,496

Responsibilities

 

Performs daily walk-thru and inspections of assigned building, mechanical rooms, restrooms, noting needed repairs.

 

Continuous physical exertion includes walking, standing, bending/kneeling, pushing/reaching, lifting/carrying.

 

Maintain plumbing and electrical functions in assigned locations.

 

Assist in remodeling projects, furniture moves/transfers. Unload deliveries at dock.

Empties recycle bins and deliver trash to landfill. Moving/carrying up to 50lbs. Perform other related duties.

Qualifications

 

Must be 18 years of age

 

Verifiable driver’s license and safe driving record.

 

Must speak, write, and understand English to follow instructions and complete reports.

 

Comply with all county and department policies, including attendance, safety, drug free workplace and personal conduct.

 

Basic math skills, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, painting, and general mechanics.

 

Must have adequate set of basic hand tools.

 

Ability to operate variety of equipment, such as pallet jack, pressure washer, drill press, grinder, forklift, and delivery truck.

 

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the general public in a courteous manner, being sensitive to gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities.

 

Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and in a team environment.

 

Occasional evening and weekend hours. On-call for emergency situations.

 

Education/Experience

 

Must have High School Diploma or GED

 

Physical Requirements

 

Ability to lift 50lbs. regularly.
